The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mondale cracks Pocc with a right hand to the side of the head.
Mondale fails to land with a series of punches.
Pocc takes one on the button.
Mondale connects with a body shot that sends Pocc's belly button to the back.
Mondale lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Mondale scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pocc in his tracks.
Jesse Mondale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mondale pushes Pocc up against the cage in a clinch.
Pocc drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mondale lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pocc backwards.
Mondale lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice right hand lands inside from Mondale.
Mondale doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Pocc blocks an uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Mondale.
Mondale has a couple of punches blocked by Pocc.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mondale working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Pocc is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Mondale misses with the head strike.

Pocc ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pocc no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Mondale wants to control from the top but Pocc keeps moving.
Mondale must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mondale content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Pocc has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Mondale doesn't defend quickly enough and Pocc has managed to lock this one up! Can Mondale escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Pocc on a fantastic submission victory.
