PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Borg Cloud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Der Debil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cloud comes to the cage accompanied by Work. The crowd seem to be enjoying Debil's choice of entrance music: Bulimic. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Der Debil!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Debil.
Debil dives in and grabs Cloud's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cloud pushes down on Debil's head and hops out.
Cloud misses with a wild combination.
Cloud stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left and a right from Cloud both land. Nice combination.
Cloud throws a right hand that Debil ducks under and follows up with a left that Debil also avoids with ease.
Cloud keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Borg Cloud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Der Debil.

No luck for Debil with that takedown attempt.
Cloud scores with a three punch combo!
Debil darts in looking for a takedown but Cloud gets double underhooks and turns Debil into the cage.
Cloud seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Cloud scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cloud checks a leg kick.
An attempted straight right counter from Cloud misses the target.
Debil fails with the takedown.
Cloud misses with a jab, cross combination.
Debil tries a quick counter leg kick but Cloud is wise to it.
Cloud throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cloud looks to land a combination. Debil sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Der Debil has been cut.
Debil on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cloud. Cloud obviously looking to wear him down.

A slapping body kick lands there for Cloud.
Nice sprawl there from Cloud as Debil shoots in.
Cloud closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Cloud pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Debil back to the cage. Cloud follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Debil slips a jab and a cross from Cloud.
Debil looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cloud, right into the meat.
Debil changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cloud tries to avoid it but Debil manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cloud to the ground. Cloud escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cloud is working for a kimura but Debil is defending it quite comfortably.
Cloud looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Debil tries to roll over but Cloud keeps him under control.
Cloud has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Cloud closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cloud lands in his opponent's guard.

Debil isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cloud stacks Debil on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cloud!

That has opened up Der Debil's cut even more.

Cloud jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Debil manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Cloud is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Debil can do to turn this around?

Borg Cloud overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Debil tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cloud wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Cloud is putting a hurting on Debil here, landing some big shots from side control.
Debil is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Cloud lands an elbow.
Cloud passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Debil!
Debil is squirming around, avoiding Cloud's attempts to control the action.
Debil is looking to get to half guard.
Debil is trying to escape the mount but Cloud keeps good control and instead manages to take Debil's back.

Debil trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Debil is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Cloud off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Debil is breathing heavily.
Cloud lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

The cut above Der Debil's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Will Cloud go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Der Debil's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Der Debil's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Borg Cloud!
Borg Cloud spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
Der Debil was interviewed post fight and said 'i did what i can, i have lost this fight but i will learn more and be a better fighter in the future!'.
