Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Nesterov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nesterov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nesterov goes for a double leg but Adams avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Adams continues to drive forward.
Nesterov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Nesterov shoots in looking for a takedown but Adams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nesterov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Nesterov stalks Adams and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Adams's face. Adams staggers backwards, shaken.

Adams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nesterov's guard.

Adams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nesterov's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nesterov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Adams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nesterov on the ground.

Nesterov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Adams's guard.

Nesterov has hold of Adams's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Adams manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Nesterov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Adams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nesterov somewhat.

Adams shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Adams showed some decent athleticism there.

Nesterov has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Adams is on him like a limpet, forcing Nesterov back against the cage.

Adams will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nesterov up against the cage.
