The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hennig closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bennett circles away.
A jab lands there for Bennett.
Hennig moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hennig throws a head kick that misses.

Bennett throws a right hand that Hennig ducks under and follows up with a left that Hennig also avoids with ease.
Hennig throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bennett's waist but Bennett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hennig off to one side.
Curt Hennig seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
