Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edwardo Carey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rankka Ankka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Edwardo Carey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rankka Ankka!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ankka throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Ankka displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


It looks like Edwardo Carey has been cut.
Ankka works Carey's body with a nice hook.

Ankka closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Carey is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Carey regains full guard. Nicely done.
Ankka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Carey pulls Ankka in close to prevent any damage.
Ankka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ankka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ankka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Carey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ankka defends well.

Ankka seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Horrible takedown attempt by Carey or perhaps it was just good defense by Ankka, which made it look bad.

Carey with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ankka to score with a decent uppercut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carey shoots for a takedown but Ankka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

As Ankka tries to get set, Carey tries to push him back and clinch up but Ankka manages to avoid the attempt.

Ankka rushes Carey and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Carey enables Ankka to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carey manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ankka drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Carey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ankka has Carey in his guard.

Ankka has his foot on Carey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carey works his way back into a safe position though.
Ankka has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Edwardo Carey will probably get the nod.

Ankka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carey sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Rankka Ankka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ankka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
