The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Midget fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Alden Richards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Richards misses with an attempted mid kick.
Midget with the counter takedown but Richards avoids it easily.
Midget avoids the head kick by Richards.
Midget changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Midget fails to land the takedown.
Midget shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Richards as he jumps to the side.
Alden Richards has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Midget.
Richards throws a head kick but Midget moves out of range.

Midget drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Richards defends it well.

Midget tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

and Midget decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Richards's guard.
Richards is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Richards keeping moving, preventing Midget from controlling successfully.

Midget drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Midget seems to have locked his on tight now - Richards screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Midget, as he picks up the win!
