And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Treestump.
Nice takedown defense from Emelianenko. No joy for Treestump on that attempt.
Emelianenko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Emelianenko working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Emelianenko wants to control but Treestump is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Treestump working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Emelianenko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Emelianenko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
