Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Terrell Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CP Munk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrell Romero has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terrell Romero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, CP Munk!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Munk looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Romero!

Munk throws a sloppy strike and Romero uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Romero has ended up in Munk's guard.
Munk has Romero pulled in close to control his posture.
Munk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Romero manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

CP Munk dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Romero misses with a takedown attempt - Munk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

CP Munk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Romero shoots in looking for a takedown. Munk tries to sprawl out of it but Romero keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Munk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terrell Romero. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Munk is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Romero can't fight it off and eventually Munk manages to take the fight to the floor. Romero looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Romero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Romero stands and steps away. Munk gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Romero really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Munk lets loose with a powerful body kick. Romero will feel that in the morning.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Romero tries to circle away but Munk has him pinned against the cage.

It looks like Terrell Romero has been cut.
Munk is struggling to control the position.

Romero blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Oh Romero is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Munk misses with a short punch on the inside.
Munk jerks Romero's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Romero drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Munk goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Munk because Romero was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). CP Munk!
