Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Olav Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Sizov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Sizov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sizov misses with a two punch combination.
Sizov tries to bum rush Volkov with a series of wild strikes but Volkov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Volkov throws a jab but it's blocked by Sizov.
Sizov stalks Volkov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Volkov's face. Volkov staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Olav Volkov has been cut.
Volkov darts in and clinches Sizov up against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Volkov.
Volkov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sizov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Volkov circles away quickly and effectively.
Sizov throws a right and a left that both miss.

Volkov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sizov is defending well for now.

Sizov feints a jab promting Volkov to slip. Sizov then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Volkov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Sizov throws a hook but Volkov blocks it.
Oh Volkov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sizov throws a nice looking combination but Volkov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

As Volkov backs off Sizov throws a huge counter combo but Volkov manages to avoid it all.

The crowd cheers as Volkov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sizov doesn't seem phased though.

I was talking to Volkov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Sizov is trying to push Volkov away but Volkov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Olav Volkov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
