These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaFontier throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ellis.
Ellis looks to score with a jab to the body but LaFontier is just out of range.

A decent looking cross lands there for Ellis.
LaFontier ducks right into an uppercut from Ellis.

LaFontier shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Lenard Ellis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ellis creates a bit of distance and cracks LaFontier with a big uppercut! LaFontier goes down! The referee pushes Ellis away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will LaFontier make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Ellis takes it!

Lenard Ellis decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
