PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Wilkerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eliseo Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Forrest Wilkerson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Forrest Wilkerson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Forrest Wilkerson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eliseo Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan moves out of range of the leg kick from Wilkerson.
A little jabbing left from Duncan on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Wilkerson misses with a head kick.

Duncan clinches with his opponent.

Duncan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Wilkerson regains guard immediately.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilkerson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Duncan.
Duncan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Wilkerson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wilkerson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Duncan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilkerson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duncan is one step ahead there.

Wilkerson working for a triangle but Duncan defends it easily.
Duncan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Let's hope that Duncan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
The crowd cheers as Wilkerson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Duncan doesn't seem phased though.
Good work by Duncan as he checks the leg kick.

Duncan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Duncan.

Duncan pulls Wilkerson into guard.
Duncan controls Wilkerson momentarily but Wilkerson frees himself.
Wilkerson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duncan on the ground.

Wilkerson throws a strike but Duncan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Duncan stands up over Wilkerson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Duncan wanted to stand there but Wilkerson had control of the position.
Duncan is stalling in the full guard.

Wilkerson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Duncan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wilkerson tries to keep at a distance but Duncan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wilkerson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Duncan can't fight it off and eventually Wilkerson manages to take the fight to the floor. Duncan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Duncan pushes Wilkerson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wilkerson is looking to clinch.
Duncan let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Duncan closes the distance and clinches.
Wilkerson has had enough of the clinch but Duncan keeps him there for the moment.

Duncan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Duncan manages to end up in side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Duncan working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Wilkerson trying to remain calm as Duncan controls from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilkerson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wilkerson tries to control but Duncan manages to take his back.
Duncan slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Duncan is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Wilkerson. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Duncan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Duncan lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Duncan lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Wilkerson hold on?!

Duncan is riding his opponent, not letting Wilkerson buck him off.

Eliseo Duncan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Wilkerson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Duncan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Wilkerson defends it well.

Duncan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wilkerson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Duncan jumps into side control!

Eliseo Duncan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Duncan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

I've got Duncan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
