Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Petter Anier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Chow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 31 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Petter Anier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Chow!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chow forces Anier back against the cage and clinches.
Anier lands a damaging elbow.
Chow lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Chow managing to block the knees to the body from Anier.
Anier is trying to pull guard but Chow has him pressed against the cage.

Anier breaks from the clinch.
Chow shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anier sprawls well. Anier wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chow gets slowly back to his feet.

Anier bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chow looks to move to half guard but instead Anier has passed into mount! Damn!

We've been informed that Chow has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Anier jumps into guard, dragging Chow to the mat.
Chow tries to free his leg and advance position but Anier is retaining full guard.
Chow's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Chow wants to control from the top but Anier keeps moving.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Anier shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Anier showed some decent athleticism there.

Chow's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Anier is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Chow is defending well.
Chow is trying to maintain a safe position but Anier gets an underhook and turns Chow into the cage.
Chow tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Chow fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Anier to the ground. Chow is now in Anier's guard.

Anier has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Chow has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Anier is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chow can do to turn this around?
Chow is pressed up against the cage. Anier has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chow down to the mat. Chow avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Anier fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kim Chow seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Anier tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Chow smiles and moves away.

Chow clinches up with Anier and pushes him back against the cage.
Anier tries to pull guard but Chow holds him up against the cage and eventually Anier drops back down to his feet.
Chow throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

A close second round but Kim Chow will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Anier shoots in and bounces Chow off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Anier shoots for a double leg takedown but Chow sprawls well. He's pushed Anier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kim Chow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Chow has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
