Penn comes to the cage accompanied by One Call Away - Charlie Puth. Chartier is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Disturbed - Stricken. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chartier throws a leg kick but Penn sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Donald Chartier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A clash of legs there as Penn blocks the low kick.
Chartier scores with a jab to the body.
Chartier throws a shot to the body.
Chartier looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Chartier throws a right and a left that Penn avoids nicely.

Penn has managed to clinch.

Penn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Chartier uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Penn has time to react.

Penn blocks the body kick.
Penn is looking for a counter combo.

Penn closes the distance and pushes Chartier back into the cage.

Penn breaks from the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chartier scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Penn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chartier connects with a jab.
Penn is breathing heavily.

Chartier cracks Penn with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Penn looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Chartier finish him?

Penn is rocked!
Chartier scores with a hook to the body. Penn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Oh Penn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Penn gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Chartier points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Penn wakes up just in time to hear Chartier thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
