Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Rackham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Dijkstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dijkstra has chosen Soulfly - Back To The Primitive as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Rackham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Omar Dijkstra!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dijkstra catches Rackham with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Rackham misses with a hook.
Rackham tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dijkstra with the counter takedown but Rackham avoids it easily.
Rackham checks a low kick from Dijkstra.
A swing and a miss from Rackham.
Dijkstra rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rackham counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dijkstra moves out of range of the body kick.

Dijkstra uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rackham.
Dijkstra avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dijkstra drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Rackham defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rackham ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dijkstra moves away.

Rackham takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Dijkstra counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dijkstra stays in close to Rackham's body and controls the position.
Dijkstra trying to control the position from guard on top but Rackham is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dijkstra might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rackham haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dijkstra working the strikes but Rackham uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Dijkstra has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dijkstra not doing much here.
Rackham is not content to let Dijkstra control the position.
Dijkstra is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Dijkstra wants to pass to mount but Rackham is defending the position.

Rackham wants to improve his position but Dijkstra is controlling well.
Dijkstra frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dijkstra is looking to work his way around to Rackham's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poor strikes thrown by Dijkstra there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Dijkstra has hold of Rackham's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rackham manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Dijkstra moves to the back position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rackham fending off the submission attempt from Dijkstra.

Rackham defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rackham won't allow Dijkstra to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dijkstra looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Rackham misses the target.
Rackham misses with a kick to the body.
Dijkstra connects with an inside leg kick.
Jack Rackham is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rackham throws a low kick but Dijkstra moves out of range easily.

Rackham throws a front kick aimed at Dijkstra's knee but Dijkstra avoids it well.
Rackham looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Rackham counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Rackham looks to throw a body kick

and Dijkstra counters with a shoot takedown. Rackham fights it but they end up in guard.

Dijkstra thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Dijkstra wants to control from the top but Rackham keeps moving.
Dijkstra passes Rackham's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Rackham moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Rackham working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dijkstra.

Dijkstra advances to half guard.

Dijkstra trying to work for an americana but Rackham has managed to regain full guard.
Dijkstra looking to sit in guard and control but Rackham gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Rackham avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dijkstra is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rackham has his hands clasped together but Dijkstra extends and breaks Rackham's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dijkstra.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Omar Dijkstra!
