Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brava Tirail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuki Shojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tirail fails with a takedown attempt.
Tirail takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Shojo unleashes a big counter combination but Tirail bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Tirail drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shojo has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Tirail is on him like a limpet, forcing Shojo back against the cage.

Tirail has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Shojo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Shojo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

As Tirail backs off Shojo throws a huge counter combo but Tirail manages to avoid it all.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shojo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tirail tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shojo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tirail somewhat.

Brava Tirail seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Tirail shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shojo defends it nicely.
Shojo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Shojo moves into range and connects with a jab.
Tirail changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shojo tries to avoid it but Tirail manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shojo to the ground. Shojo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shojo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tirail is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Tirail feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
