Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lukas Ioannou Ii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sultan Aliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aliev has chosen Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Sultan Aliev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ioannou Ii fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ioannou Ii lands a nice leg kick that just misses Aliev's sensitive parts.

Aliev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ioannou Ii pinned against the cage. Ioannou Ii gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That was a close round but I would say that Lukas Ioannou Ii will probably get the nod.

It looks like Sultan Aliev has been cut.

Lukas Ioannou Ii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ioannou Ii scores with a jab. Aliev acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Sultan Aliev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Aliev ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ioannou Ii takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ioannou Ii keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

We've been told by Ioannou Ii's head coaches at LOD: Contenders that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ioannou Ii is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Aliev can do to turn this around?
