Ferdinand closes the distance and clinches up with Santana, looking for a takedown. Ferdinand pushes Santana against the cage but Santana circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Santana feints and as Ferdinand raises his hands in defense, Santana changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Santana keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ferdinand's head.

Ferdinand has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Santana doesn't defend quickly enough and Ferdinand has managed to lock this one up! Can Santana escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Ferdinand on a fantastic submission victory.
