Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Murray Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Quik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quik takes a swing at Jackson's ribcage but misses.

Quik throws a hook to the side of Jackson's head but Jackson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Quik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jackson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A head kick by Quik misses
and Jackson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jamal Quik will probably get the nod.

Murray Jackson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
