Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Steve Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andy Berdich!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berdich looks for a takedown but Cox sprawls well.
Cox feinted with a counter takedown.
Berdich misses with a takedown attempt

and Cox moves into the clinch.
Cox lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Berdich has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cox is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Steve Cox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andy Berdich.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cox creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Cox has a couple of punches blocked by Berdich.
Cox is pushing Berdich up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Cox manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Berdich throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cox is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Berdich frees his head nicely. Oh but Cox has switched to an armbar! Berdich is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
