Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Black Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexander Boyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Black Jack!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jack fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boyle to the ground. Jack is now in Boyle's guard.

Boyle kicks Jack off and gets to his feet.

Jack closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boyle to the mat! Boyle manages to get full guard.
Boyle is wriggling around but Jack manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Boyle wants to get back to his feet.
Jack not doing much here.
Boyle is trying to stand back up but Jack is controlling him
Jack wants to stand but Boyle has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Jack should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jack passes into side control, despite Boyle's attempt to control the position.
Boyle can't do much from the bottom here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jack remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Jack tries to stand but Boyle is controlling his head.
You can see the frustration on Boyle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Boyle is looking for a sweep.
Boyle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jack on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Jack is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boyle has escaped the position, nice work there.
Boyle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boyle is looking for a sweep.

Boyle tries to buck Jack off but Jack is having none of it.
Jack wants to control but Boyle is keeping him busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jack closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Boyle did well to prevent Jack getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boyle is trying to stand back up but Jack is controlling him
Jack thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Boyle wants to get back to full guard but Jack has mounted him!
Boyle tries to lock up and control but Jack gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Boyle wants to try and get back to his feet.
Boyle is breathing heavily.
Jack controlling from the full mount.

Jack wants to control the pace but Boyle is squirming around nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jack takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Jack has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jack prevents Boyle from getting the reversal.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Black Jack dominated that round.

Jack has closed the distance and engaged Boyle in a clinch.

Boyle ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boyle no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Boyle tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Boyle wants to stand but Jack is controlling the position.
Jack trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boyle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boyle avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Boyle pulls Jack in to control the position.
Jack landing some decent shots from guard.
Jack lands a couple of elbows.
Boyle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jack manages to get himself to full guard.

Boyle is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jack looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boyle is one step ahead there.
Jack is adopting a defensive guard.

Boyle wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Jack's closed guard. He's half up but Jack has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Jack pivots and extends the arm, Boyle falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Jack! Well done that man!
