Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Myles Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhammed Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muhammed Castro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Myles Richards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Muhammed Castro!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Castro moves into the clinch.

Castro manages to pull guard.
Richards tries to stand but Castro is controlling from the bottom.
Richards prevents Castro from getting back to his feet.
Castro looking to control.

Castro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Richards defends it easily.
Richards has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Castro is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Richards is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Castro's half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Castro can do anything to dispel that myth.
Richards seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Castro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Richards postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Castro to stand up.

Castro scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Castro is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Richards tries to kick Castro off but Castro keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Richards gets back to full guard.
Richards is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Castro is controlling him.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Castro wants to control from the top but Richards keeps moving.
Richards wants to stand up but Castro is controlling him.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Castro has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Richards is proving hard to escape from.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Castro has closed the distance and engaged Richards in a clinch.
Richards has had enough of the clinch but Castro keeps him there for the moment.
A nice left hand lands by Castro.
Richards tries to work over Castro's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Richards breaks the clinch.

Castro dives in and scores a takedown into Richards's guard.
Richards is looking to stand back up but Castro counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Richards.

Castro wants to take a breather but Richards is having none of it.
Richards strikes from the bottom but Castro passes into mount!
Castro takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Richards really is a fat lump.
Castro wants to control the pace but Richards is squirming around nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Richards is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Muhammed Castro dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Castro closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Castro cracks Richards with a big elbow.
Richards gets back to half guard.
Castro landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Castro not landing any meaningful shots this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castro looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Castro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Richards defends it well.
Richards slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Richards might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Richards preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Richards wants to get back to his feet but Castro is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Castro trying to control the position from guard on top but Richards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Castro is looking to stand up but Richards won't let him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Castro is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Castro drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Richards is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Castro is controlling him well.
Richards takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Richards sneaks out the side door and pushes Castro away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Richards darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Castro pushes Richards off but Richards dives into side control.
Castro is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Richards lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Castro wants to control but Richards postures up.
Castro manages to get back to half guard.

Richards is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Richards escapes and gets back to his feet.

Richards clinches with his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Castro ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Castro no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Richards got a little sloppy there for a moment and Castro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Richards has managed to get both his arms back between Castro's legs - danger averted.
Richards would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Richards is fighting to break Castro's control of his arms but Castro is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Richards wants to stand but Castro has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Myles Richards will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
