Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lee Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves has chosen Light 'Em Up as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves swinging wildly here.
Wallace drops down looking for a counter takedown but Alves sprawls and moves away.

letting Alves counter with a right hand.
Wallace darts in and clinches Alves up against the cage.

Alves's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wallace seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Alves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wallace moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wallace shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wallace showed some decent athleticism there.

Wallace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wallace in particular looking to stall.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alves can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wallace lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Alves quite badly. Alves pulls Wallace in close trying to recover. Wallace postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Alves on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Alves doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
