Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Toshihiro Mondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myke Toifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toshihiro Mondo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Myke Toifer!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mondo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mondo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Mondo tries a head kick but it misses.
Toifer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
As Toifer looks to move away, Mondo throws a big counter combo but Toifer just gets out of the way.
Mondo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Toifer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mondo throws a combination. Toifer tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Toifer has his takedown stuffed
and Mondo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Mondo thumps Toifer with a low kick.
Mondo clinches up with Toifer and pushes him back against the cage.
Toifer is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mondo pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Toshihiro Mondo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Myke Toifer.

Toifer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mondo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice body kick there by Mondo.
Mondo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Toifer back to the cage. Mondo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Mondo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Toifer shoots in looking for a takedown but Mondo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Toifer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mondo connects with a body shot that sends Toifer's belly button to the back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mondo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheers as Mondo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Toifer doesn't seem phased though.

and Mondo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Mondo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A right-left combo lands from Mondo.
Toifer on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Toifer misses with a takedown
and Toifer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mondo gets a clinch.
Mondo stops a takedown attempt from Toifer.
Mondo tightens his grip and picks Toifer up, before dumping him to the ground. Toifer manages to land in guard.
Mondo postures up and lands a big shot to Toifer's brow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mondo stands up from Toifer's guard - Mondo perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mondo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Toifer to the ground. Mondo is now in Toifer's guard.
Mondo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mondo cracks Toifer with a solid left hand.
Toifer looking for a guillotine here but Mondo defends easily.
Mondo stands up and waves to Toifer to follow him.
Mondo looking to score a takedown here. Toifer is defending well but Mondo drives through and ends up in Toifer's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mondo lands a nice looking kick to the body. Toifer takes a step back to recover.
Toifer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mondo circles away.

Mondo blocks a head kick by Toifer.
Mondo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mondo lands in his opponent's guard.
Toshihiro Mondo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Toifer pushes a forearm under Mondo's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Mondo is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
