The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer tries a head kick but it misses.
Mini Hammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dotson misses with a wild combination.
Hammer with the counter takedown but Dotson avoids it easily.
Hammer throws a head kick that half lands.

Rolando Dotson's cut is getting worse.

Hammer clinches with his opponent.
Dotson is working for takedown but Hammer is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dotson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hammer walks away with a smile on his face. Dotson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hammer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hammer lands in his opponent's guard.
Dotson keeping moving, preventing Hammer from controlling successfully.

Dotson is looking for a triangle but Hammer pushes his legs off easily.

Dotson kicks Hammer off and gets to his feet.
Dotson misses with a series of wild punches.
Hammer is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Hammer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dotson's guard.

Dotson manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Dotson stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Hammer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dotson sneaks out the side door and pushes Hammer away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Hammer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dotson was covering up waiting for the punch and Hammer finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dotson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hammer has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Dotson manages to pull guard.
Dotson wants to sweep but no luck.

Dotson misses the body punch

and Hammer counters with a crisp one two that drops Dotson! Hammer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Dotson to his feet! Dotson is in big trouble!
Hammer circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Dotson drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Hammer follows Dotson to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
