Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Braulio Moura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramone Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moura shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jefferson sprawls well. Jefferson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Moura gets slowly back to his feet.

Jefferson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Moura!

Moura explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Jefferson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moura tries to avoid it but Jefferson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moura to the ground. Moura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Moura tries to counter with a takedown but Jefferson is quick to defend against it.
Moura throws a sloppy head kick and Jefferson moves out of range easily.
Jefferson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Moura closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moura lands in his opponent's guard.
Moura has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Moura wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving.

Jefferson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Moura wanted to stand there but Jefferson had control of the position.

Moura avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jefferson has a closed guard, preventing Moura from standing up.

Moura stands and steps away. Jefferson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Moura shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Moura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jefferson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Moura tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jefferson controls his leg.
Moura content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jefferson keeps working.
Jefferson tries to roll over but Moura keeps him under control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jefferson is trying to control but can't.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

That was a close round but I would say that Braulio Moura will probably get the nod.

Moura drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Moura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jefferson on the ground.

Jefferson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Moura stacks Jefferson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Moura!
Jefferson is looking to regain half guard here but Moura keeps moving and retains side control.

Moura decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jefferson to his feet.
Moura shoots in but no luck this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moura swats away the attempt to clinch by Jefferson.

Moura is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jefferson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jefferson.

Jefferson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moura defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moura wants to get up but he can't break Jefferson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jefferson pushes a forearm under Moura's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Moura is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
