Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshida Shinya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khon Kaen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shinya scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Shinya gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Khon Kaen has been cut.
Kaen takes an elbow to the forehead.
Shinya escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kaen slips a jab and a cross from Shinya.
Kaen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shinya's waist but Shinya gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kaen off to one side.

Shinya has Kaen pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Shinya pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kaen tumbling to the mat - Shinya dives into Kaen's guard.

Shinya pulls Kaen in close to his closed guard and prevents Kaen from doing any damage or advancing position.
Kaen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kaen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Shinya is looking to reverse the position.
