Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luke Rockstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Roofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roofer has chosen Jonesmann Feat. Azad - Der Soldat James Rhyme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 26 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ben Roofer!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockstar buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Rockstar counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Roofer tries to roll over but Rockstar keeps him under control.
Rockstar is just content to waste time from the top position. Roofer takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Rockstar drives through with a takedown into Roofer's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rockstar crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Roofer - the referee stops the clock and Rockstar gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Roofer. Rockstar manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Roofer is on top in guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Luke Rockstar.
I think Rockstar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
