PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Volcanic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 60 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Volcanic!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Volcanic darts in and clinches Maddox up against the cage.
Maddox is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Volcanic swings wildly with an uppercut but Maddox uses good head movement to avoid it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Maddox is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Volcanic defends well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Volcanic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maddox swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Maddox has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Volcanic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Danny Volcanic is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Volcanic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
