Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Fulcrum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fulcrum closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Volkov's guard.
Fulcrum is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Volkov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fulcrum on the ground.
Fulcrum stands up and waves to Volkov to follow him.
Volkov tries to sprawl but Fulcrum drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fulcrum should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Volkov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fulcrum 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fulcrum 's back!

Fulcrum trying to control the position but Volkov manages to sink in the hooks.

Fulcrum is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fulcrum postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Volkov to stand up.

Volkov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fulcrum to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like Fulcrum might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Danga de danga de dang - Volkov scores with a four punch combination!
Volkov scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Volkov throws a right hand that Fulcrum ducks under and follows up with a left that Fulcrum also avoids with ease.
Volkov is breathing heavily.
Fulcrum scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Volkov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fulcrum is looking to land body kicks.
Fulcrum has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Volkov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Volkov wants it to stay on the feet.
Volkov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Volkov throws a combination. Fulcrum tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Fedor Volkov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fulcrum makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Fulcrum pulls guard.
Fulcrum is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Volkov defends well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Volkov won't allow Fulcrum to get back to his feet.
Fulcrum pulls Volkov in close to prevent any damage.
Fulcrum bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Volkov's guard.
Fulcrum slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Volkov wants to control but Fulcrum passes easily into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Volkov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fulcrum 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fulcrum 's back!
Fulcrum just trying to survive but Volkov is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Fulcrum breaks Volkov's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Fulcrum is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Fulcrum gets to his feet - Volkov follows without any prompting.
Volkov tries to keep at a distance but Fulcrum has taken the fight into the clinch.

Let's hope that Fulcrum has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
