Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mathias Vini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Strazas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strazas has chosen Blue eyes as his entrance music. Marcelo Strazas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vini misses with a body kick.
Strazas wants to clinch.
Strazas tries to clinch but Vini moves out of range.
Strazas tries to close the distance and clinch but Vini swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Marcelo Strazas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strazas tries to clinch up.
Vini throws a series of punches but Strazas moves out of range.
Strazas throws out a counter right but Vini avoids it with no problem.
Vini looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
An inside leg kick lands from Vini.
The fight stays on the outside here - Strazas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Strazas tries to close the distance and clinch but Vini swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Strazas tries to clinch up but Vini circles away and keeps his distance.
Vini swats away the attempt to clinch by Strazas.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Strazas gets caught flat footed, as Vini shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Vini is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Strazas can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vini drops back looking for a leg! Strazas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Strazas manages to kick Vini off! Vini jumps back into Strazas's guard.
Vini forces his way into half guard.

Vini lands with a punch from half guard.
Strazas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Vini seems to be looking for submissions.
Strazas misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Strazas throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vini trying to control the action but Strazas is working from the bottom.
Still in half guard, Vini seems content to control.

Vini is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Strazas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vini.

Vini is working for a submission of some sort.

Vini controlling the pace.
Strazas flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vini has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Vini is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Strazas is surviving well by controlling Vini's body position as best he can.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Strazas tries to reverse the position but Vini maintains control.
Vini lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Vini wants to finish this one by submission but Strazas is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vini.
Vini trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Vini is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Strazas has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Vini cracks Strazas with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Strazas is rocked!
Vini softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Strazas is out cold! Vini jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
