The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahmahdulla takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Shakib Mahmahdulla has been cut.
Ritter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mahmahdulla moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shakib Mahmahdulla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mahmahdulla lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Mahmahdulla uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ritter.
Ritter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mahmahdulla circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Mahmahdulla misses.

Mahmahdulla moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mahmahdulla lands with an uppercut that bounces Ritter off the cage and back into range.
Ritter slips a jab and a cross from Mahmahdulla.

Mahmahdulla fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ritter on the side of the head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ritter, as that shot connected.
Ritter has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mahmahdulla finds it's way round the side to connect with Ritter's head.
Mahmahdulla fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ritter was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ritter looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Ritter and Mahmahdulla goes tumbling to the canvas! Ritter follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ritter lands a nice short elbow.

Mahmahdulla is rocked!

That has opened up Shakib Mahmahdulla's cut even more.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shakib Mahmahdulla's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shakib Mahmahdulla's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
