Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jewel Rogers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Master Kim!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim has his takedown stuffed
and Rogers counters with a one-two to the body.
Kim looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rogers is fending him off so far but Kim persists. Nope, Rogers circles away and we're back to standing.
Rogers tries to counter with a takedown but Kim is quick to defend against it.

Kim is looking to work some ground and pound but Rogers has wrist control.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Rogers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kim wants to control from the top but Rogers keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kim keeps trying to improve his position.
Kim pulls Rogers in close to prevent any damage.
Kim is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rogers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kim is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Kim is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kim connects with a nice short shot to Rogers's temple.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kim lands a nice short elbow.


Rogers is rocked!

Oh Rogers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kim slips a nice elbow through Rogers's hands, connecting with Rogers's forehead.

Kim is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kim takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Master Kim dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Kim misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kim.
Rogers seems to have got his legs back now.
Rogers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kim circles away.
Jewel Rogers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Kim counters with a single leg into guard. Rogers didn't expect that.
Kim lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kim lands a couple of elbows.
Rogers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kim on the ground.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rogers is keeping the position for now.
Kim gets to his feet and stands over Rogers, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Rogers felt that one! Kim unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Rogers from any more punishment!
