The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howell misses with a wild body shot.
Steven Howell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howell throws a body punch but Manning moves out of range.
Howell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Manning.
Howell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Howell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Manning.
Howell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Howell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Manning finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Manning gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Howell counters with a stiff right hand.
Manning doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Howell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manning was well out of range. Poor timing from Howell.
Manning takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Howell lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Howell lands with a nice combination. Manning backs away looking to recover.

Manning is rocked!
OH! Manning has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Howell smells blood and charges in for the finish! Howell unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Manning sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

A determined Steven Howell didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
