Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler McClain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McClain has chosen New Found Glory - Ready and Willing as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler McClain!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McClain takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
McClain lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

McClain changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
McClain tries to work over Lesnar's front leg with a kick but Lesnar checks it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lesnar. McClain does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lesnar slips a jab and a cross from McClain.
McClain pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lesnar back to the cage. McClain follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

McClain shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Lesnar is trying to get back to full guard.
McClain is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Lesnar is refusing to be controlled, as McClain sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McClain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lesnar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McClain escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lesnar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

McClain is looking for a triangle but Lesnar pushes his legs off easily.

We've been told by Lesnar's head coaches at The Iron Palace that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Our spies down at at Fight Factory inform us that McClain has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

McClain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Lesnar content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because McClain has locked up a guillotine! McClain's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lesnar is holding on here and McClain must be using up a lot of energy. Lesnar has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! McClain gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
