Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keni Susi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sutter Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Susi comes into the arena with Metallica - Hero of the Day blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Susi fails to land the takedown.

Susi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cane swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Susi takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Cane throws a chopping leg kick but Susi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Susi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cane defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keni Susi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cane scores with a nice body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Susi shoots in looking for a takedown but Cane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Susi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Keni Susi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Susi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cane can pounce on him.
Susi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cane tries to avoid it but Susi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cane to the ground. Cane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Susi shoots for a takedown but Cane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Cane counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Keni Susi has been cut.
Susi gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cane.
Susi tries to move into range but Cane moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Susi shoots in looking for a takedown. Cane tries to sprawl out of it but Susi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Oh Susi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Susi shoots in and drives through. Cane sprawls well.
Cane looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Susi seems to have got his legs back now.

Cane throws a right and a left that Susi avoids nicely.
Susi shoots in for a double leg but Cane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Susi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cane but Cane pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cane scores with a jab to the body.
Cane lands a nice leg kick that just misses Susi's sensitive parts.
Cane steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Susi.

Cane tries a quick counter leg kick but Susi is wise to it.

Susi shoots in but Cane avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cane swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Susi.
Cane takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Susi fails with the takedown.
Cane was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Cane lands a big uppercut and Susi crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Susi looks OK. Cane waves Susi back to his feet!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Cane engages and cracks Susi with a massive lead left hook - Susi tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Cane is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sutter Cane!
