The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vovchanchyn lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Vodorov backs up against the cage.

It looks like Matvej Vodorov has been cut.
Vodorov is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vovchanchyn throws a series of strikes that have Vodorov backpedaling.
Vodorov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vodorov drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vovchanchyn defends it well.
Vodorov shoots in for a takedown but Vovchanchyn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vodorov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vovchanchyn's waist but Vovchanchyn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vodorov off to one side.
Vodorov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vovchanchyn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vodorov.
Vodorov wants to clinch but Vovchanchyn slips to the side
and Vovchanchyn counters with a straight right hand.

and Vovchanchyn counters with a three punch combo that has Vodorov backing up. Vodorov nods at Vovchanchyn to acknowledge the strikes.
Vodorov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Vodorov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vovchanchyn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Vovchanchyn checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
No joy there for Vodorov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vovchanchyn bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vodorov's head.
Vodorov shoots for a takedown but Vovchanchyn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vovchanchyn swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Remy Vovchanchyn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matvej Vodorov.

Vovchanchyn is pawing at Vodorov, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Vodorov's nose. Vodorov is badly hurt! Vovchanchyn pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Vodorov tries desperately to hold on but Vovchanchyn is relentless in his assault! As Vodorov receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Vovchanchyn away and this one is in the books!
