Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bolton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gracie Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Allen throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Bolton is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Bolton went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Bolton avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bolton dips to his left and cracks Allen with an uppercut!
Bolton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Allen staying out of range there.
Allen feints and then cracks Bolton's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bolton down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bolton takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Allen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bolton. That did some damage!
Allen is looking to chop away at Bolton's legs.
Allen moves away from the strike by Bolton.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Allen! But no joy.
Bolton shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Allen blocks a head kick by Bolton.

and Allen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bolton's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Allen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bolton scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bolton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Bolton is rocked!
Bolton gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Allen gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gracie Allen! Gracie Allen retains his welterweight title!
In his post fight interview, Gracie Allen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
