Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pablito Wood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stephen Warner!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood jabs Warner right on the nose. Warner blinks but takes it well.

Warner moves into the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Warner obliges.
Wood wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wood tries to break the clinch but Warner is controlling the position.
Warner trying to land knees to the body.

Warner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Warner clinches.
Wood looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Warner scores with a shot to the side of Wood's head.
Warner has Wood pressed against the cage, preventing Wood from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Knees to the body from Warner.
Warner scores with a knee to the head.
Wood looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wood misses with a punch to the body.
Wood tries a body shot but Warner blocks it.
Wood wants to break free but Warner has control.
Wood wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Warner breaks from the clinch.
Wood just misses with a punch to the body.
Wood avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Warner rushes Wood and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Warner looking for a takedown.
Warner keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wood's efforts to push away.
Wood wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wood is trying to break the clinch but Warner is controlling him.
Wood tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Warner's elbow.

Warner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Warner looks to land a combination but Wood avoids it well.
Wood was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Warner waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wood.
Warner ducks under a wild hook from Wood.
Warner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wood circles away quickly and effectively.
Wood swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Wood showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Warner.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Warner pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Wood throws a body punch but Warner moves out of range.
Warner misses with a wild body shot.

Warner closes the distance and clinches.
Warner is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wood pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Warner keeps control of Wood as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Warner is pushing Wood up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Warner drags the fight down to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wood gets to his feet. Warner looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Wood keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pablito Wood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephen Warner.
Wood throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Warner sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A punch combination from Wood misses.
Warner walks into a left hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wood on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Warner. Warner obviously looking to wear him down.

Warner fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wood, pushing him back against the cage.
Wood gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Warner.
Wood scores with a shot to the side of Warner's head.
Wood wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Warner has him pressed against the cage.
Warner digs a right hand into Wood's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Wood's gas tank.
Wood wants to get back to striking at distance but Warner won't allow it.

Warner breaks from the clinch.
Some wild striking there from Wood.
As Wood backs off Warner throws a huge counter combo but Wood manages to avoid it all.

Warner closes the distance and pushes Wood back into the cage.
Warner using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Warner breaks from the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wood blocks a head kick by Warner.
Wood connects with a good right hand that stumbles Warner. Warner circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Wood lands a nice shot that snaps Warner's head back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wood lands a slapping body shot.
Warner blocks a jab.
Wood lands a jab-cross combination.

Warner gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Warner lands an elbow inside that Wood shrugs off.
Wood can't break the clinch.

Warner breaks the clinch.
Warner lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Warner throws a sloppy head kick and Wood moves out of range easily.
Wood scores with a three punch combo!

Warner drives through and clinches with Wood against the cage.

Warner has clasped his hands together around Wood's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephen Warner dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Warner goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Warner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wood throws a body shot but no joy.
Warner with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wood to score with a decent uppercut.
Warner throws a head kick that misses.
Wood was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Wood tests Warner's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Warner is rocked!
Wood lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Warner head around and knocks him out cold! Wood hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pablito Wood!
