The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paunescu throws a hook but Myers blocks it.
Paunescu scores with a jab. Myers acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Myers scores with a nice head shot.
Myers swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Paunescu's coach down at Highland CT & Spar was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Paunescu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A telegraphed right hand from Paunescu misses the target.
Myers thumps Paunescu with a low kick.
Myers ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Myers looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Nice uppercut lands for Paunescu. That snapped Myers's head back.
Myers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Paunescu.

and Myers counters with a good low kick that Paunescu was not able to check.

A body shot lands from Myers.

Myers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Paunescu wants to stay close but Myers steps back to make room for something. Paunescu seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Myers and Paunescu drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
