Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hamish Mctavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Kondyt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christian Kondyt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hamish Mctavish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Christian Kondyt!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mctavish misses with an uppercut.
Some wild striking there from Kondyt.
Mctavish misses with a takedown attempt - Kondyt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mctavish fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A little jabbing left from Kondyt on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Mctavish will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hamish Mctavish. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kondyt scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Mctavish shoots in looking for a takedown. Kondyt tries to sprawl out of it but Mctavish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kondyt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A jab from Kondyt finds it's way through Mctavish's defenses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kondyt fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Mctavish takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kondyt feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mctavishs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kondyt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mctavish moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mctavish will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A telegraphed right hand from Mctavish misses the target.
Mctavish scores with a nice head shot.


It looks like Christian Kondyt has been cut.
Kondyt swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mctavish shoots in for a double leg but Kondyt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kondyt throws a shot to the body.
A slow jab from Kondyt misses its intended target.
Mctavish throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kondyt's waist but Kondyt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mctavish off to one side.

Mctavish moves into the clinch.

Kondyt pulls guard effortlessly.

Kondyt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mctavish can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mctavish trying to control the position from guard on top but Kondyt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kondyt has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Mctavish has passed into side control.
Kondyt is looking to regain half guard here but Mctavish keeps moving and retains side control.
Kondyt gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Mctavish not doing much here.

Kondyt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Mctavish passes to side control.
Kondyt tries to buck Mctavish off but Mctavish is having none of it.

Mctavish controls the position.

Mctavish is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kondyt has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kondyt is looking to reverse the position.
Mctavish taking a breather here.

Mctavish looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Mctavish fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kondyt tries to improve position but can't.
Mctavish is looking to take a break and control but Kondyt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mctavish is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kondyt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kondyt tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Mctavish presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Mctavish looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Kondyt has given up his back. Will we see Mctavish going for some submissions?

Mctavish looking for the choke but no joy.
Kondyt wants to escape the position.

Kondyt tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Christian Kondyt will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Christian Kondyt's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Mctavish tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kondyt swivels and escapes.
Kondyt throws out a counter right but Mctavish avoids it with no problem.

Mctavish gets a clinch.
Mctavish has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kondyt after a bit of a struggle.

Kondyt ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kondyt no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mctavish avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mctavish landing some decent shots from guard.

Kondyt working for a triangle but Mctavish defends it easily.
Kondyt keeping moving, preventing Mctavish from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mctavish is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kondyt is trying to reverse the position but instead Mctavish has taken his back - oops!

Mctavish is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kondyt knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kondyt for a finish.

Mctavish has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Kondyt! Can he survive? No! He's out! Mctavish gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hamish Mctavish!
