Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matti Nyberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Winterio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winterio has chosen Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winterio takes one to the side of the head.
Nyberg throws a hook to the side of Winterio's head but Winterio sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nyberg throws a head kick that misses.
Nyberg connects with a crisp jab.
Nyberg moves out of range of the body kick.
A little feinted left hand from Nyberg on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Winterio clinches up with Nyberg and pushes him back against the cage.
Nyberg goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Winterio misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Winterio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Matti Nyberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Winterio tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

It looks like Dan Winterio has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nyberg stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Winterio counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Nyberg crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Winterio - the referee stops the clock and Nyberg gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Winterio. Nyberg manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nyberg just misses with a punch to the body.
Nyberg throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Winterio on the side of the head.

Nyberg stalks Winterio and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Winterio's face. Winterio staggers backwards, shaken.

Winterio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nyberg tries to avoid it but Winterio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nyberg to the ground. Nyberg escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

After the fight, Matti Nyberg was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
