Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between JT Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Luis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redman comes to the ring accompanied by Breathe. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Luis!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luis looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Redman attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Luis fails in his attempt to clinch.
Luis finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Luis looks to land a body kick but Redman moved away.
Redman avoids the head kick by Luis.
Redman throws a looping overhand right but Luis ducks down to avoid it.
Luis throws a low kick but Redman avoids it.
Nice uppercut there from Luis.

Luis instigates a clinch.
Luis missing with knees to the body.
Redman avoids the elbow strike from Luis, against the ropes.
Luis with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I was talking to Redman's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Redman is working Luis over against the ropes.

Redman takes a knee to the side of the body.

Luis tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Redman's elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Redman is working Luis over against the ropes.
Redman tries to break the clinch but Luis is controlling the position.
Redman tries to throw a body punch but Luis avoids it by throwing Redman back against the ropes.
Redman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Luis has Redman pressed against the ropes, preventing Redman from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Luis comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like JT Redman has been cut.
A right hook to the body lands for Luis.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


That kick from Luis tenderised Redman's leg. Redman is trying to keep his angry face on.
Luis keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Some wild striking there from Redman.
Redman tries a head kick but it misses.
Redman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Luis appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Luis stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Redman.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Luis.
Luis lands a right hook to the body.
Luis lands a leg kick that knocks Redman off balance momentarily.
Luis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Redman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bruce Luis seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Luis tries a head kick but it misses.
Redman tries to land a leg kick but Luis saw it coming and moves away.
Redman throws an overhand right that lands on Luis's shoulder, as Luis tries to avoid the shot.
Redman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Luis.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Luis counters by clinching up.

Redman has had enough of the clinch but Luis keeps him there for the moment.
Bruce Luis seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
A right hand to the body from Redman.
Luis creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Luis with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Redman is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Luis lands a right hand that snaps the head of Redman backwards.
Redman is trying to push Luis away but Luis has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

A frustrated look appears on Redman's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Luis lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
Luis has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Redman tries a body shot but Luis blocks it.
Luis throws a punch but it's blocked by Redman.
Luis lands a damaging elbow.
Redman avoids a wild elbow strike from Luis.
Luis scores with a nice hook to the head.

Redman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Luis tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Redman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Luis slips under a jab from Redman.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Luis lands a nice looking kick to the body. Redman takes a step back to recover.
Luis has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Redman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Luis.
Luis lands a nice shot to the body.

Bruce Luis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Redman gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Luis feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Redman's calf.
JT Redman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bruce Luis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Redman throws a series of punches but Luis moves out of range.
Luis lunges at Redman with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Redman's hand.
Luis moves away from the strike by Redman.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Luis scores with a sloppy right hand. Redman should have avoided that one.
Redman throws the left hand but Luis avoids the punch easily.
Luis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Redman thinks about countering with a body kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bruce Luis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Luis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
