Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dom Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Willis tries to sprawl out of it but Patterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Willis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Willis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Patterson backs up against the cage.

Willis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Willis breaks the clinch.
Patterson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Willis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Willis wants it to stay on the feet.
Patterson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Willis pinned against the cage. Willis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dom Willis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Patterson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Willis throws a nice looking combination but Patterson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Patterson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Willis pinned against the cage. Willis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Patterson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Patterson fails to land the takedown.
Willis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Patterson.
Willis tries to bum rush Patterson with a series of wild strikes but Patterson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Willis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Patterson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Patterson lands in his opponent's guard.
Patterson wants to pass the guard but Willis is keeping the position.
Willis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Willis has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Patterson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Willis lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Willis lands a body punch.
Patterson tries to pull guard but Willis forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Willis manages to break the clinch.

Willis moves into the clinch.
Willis lands a hook to the side of the head.

Willis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Patterson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Willis to score with a decent uppercut.
Patterson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Willis keeps Patterson at a distance using the push kick.
Patterson fails with the takedown.
Willis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Willis scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Patterson is rocked!
Willis lands a hook that stumbles Patterson back into the cage. Willis follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Patterson to the canvas! Willis pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Patterson has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
