Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Kennard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Winterio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winterio is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mama Said Knock You Out. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Winterio!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winterio throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kennard.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kennard.
Winterio is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Dan Winterio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kennard tries to close the distance and clinch up but Winterio swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Crunch! Winterio slams his shin into Kennard's torso.
Winterio throws a head kick that misses.
Winterio misses with a series of wild punches.

and Kennard counters with a nice leg kick.
Winterio shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Kennard takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

As Winterio looks to move away, Kennard throws a big counter combo but Winterio just gets out of the way.
Winterio scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kennard walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Winterio checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Winterio lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kennard will feel that in the morning.
Winterio has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Winterio throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Kennard manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Kennard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Winterio avoids it really well and circles away.

Dan Winterio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Kennard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Kennard shoots in and drives through. Winterio sprawls well.
Winterio tries to bum rush Kennard with a series of wild strikes but Kennard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Winterio jabs Kennard right on the nose. Kennard blinks but takes it well.
Kennard lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kennard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Winterio lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kennard doesn't manage to clinch there - Winterio circles away.

I've got Winterio winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
