Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timur Rubin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roosevelt Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roosevelt Coleman has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Timur Rubin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Roosevelt Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubin throws a hook to the side of Coleman's head but Coleman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rubin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Coleman sprawls well. Coleman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rubin gets slowly back to his feet.
Coleman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Coleman shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Rubin changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rubin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coleman moves away.

We've been hearing good reports from Rubin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Rubin moves in looking to clinch but Coleman pushes him off.
Coleman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rubin moves away.
Coleman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Rubin fails with the takedown.
Coleman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rubin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rubin feints and then cracks Coleman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Coleman down.
Rubin throws a hook to the side of Coleman's head but Coleman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rubin shoots in looking for a takedown but Coleman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rubin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timur Rubin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rubin checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rubin cracks Coleman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Coleman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rubin swivels and escapes.
Coleman closes the distance and clinches up with Rubin, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes Rubin against the cage but Rubin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rubin stalks Coleman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Coleman's face. Coleman staggers backwards, shaken.

Coleman bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rubin's head backwards.

Rubin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Coleman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Coleman wants to control but Rubin is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rubin wants to free his trapped foot but Coleman is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Timur Rubin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Rubin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
