The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Army forces Grabonzo back against the ropes and clinches.
Army misses with a short punch on the inside.
Grabonzo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Army gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Grabonzo.
Grabonzo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Army pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Brazilian Army has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alfonso Grabonzo.
Grabonzo takes a shot to the head.
Army tries to throw a body punch but Grabonzo avoids it by throwing Army back against the ropes.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Army stands and steps away. Grabonzo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Army throws a good cross that connects.

Grabonzo is rocked!
Grabonzo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Army is fending him off so far but Grabonzo persists. Nope, Army circles away and we're back to standing.
Army rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grabonzo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Grabonzo tries for a takedown but Army sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Grabonzo is aggressively charging in as Army backs up avoiding any damage. Army tosses out a jab and Grabonzo runs right into it face first! Grabonzo is out cold! Army dropped down on all fours and is barking in Grabonzo's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brazilian Army!
Brazilian Army decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
