And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blacky tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Anderson forces Blacky back against the cage and clinches.
Blacky looking for a takedown.
Anderson cracks Blacky with a nice body shot.

Blacky escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blacky fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Anderson looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Alex Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blacky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Anderson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Anderson wanted to stand there but Blacky had control of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Blacky tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance.
Blacky gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Anderson.
Anderson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blacky was well out of range. Poor timing from Anderson.
Blacky wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Anderson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Blacky has time to react.
Anderson swats away the attempt to clinch by Blacky.
Anderson throws out a counter right but Blacky avoids it with no problem.
Blacky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blacky somewhat.

Blacky moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Anderson throws a good cross that connects.
A punch lands to the side of Blacky 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Anderson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Blacky takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
