The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ryan wants to stand up but Sanchez is controlling him.
Ryan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Sanchez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Ryan shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanchez tries to sprawl out of it but Ryan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanchez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Ryan. No joy for Sanchez on that attempt.
Ryan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ryan wants it to stay on the feet.
Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ryan pinned against the cage. Ryan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sanchez is nestled in close to Ryan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sanchez throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Ryan tries to clinch
and Sanchez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ryan shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanchez sprawls well. He's pushed Ryan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ryan closes the distance and clinches up with Sanchez, looking for a takedown. Ryan pushes Sanchez against the cage but Sanchez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Yoel Sanchez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sanchez slaps away a takedown attempt from Ryan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ryan is breathing heavily.
Ryan throws a head kick that half lands.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ryan's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ryan duly obliges.
Ryan leaves Sanchez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sanchez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ryan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Sanchez shoots for a double leg takedown but Ryan sprawls well. He's pushed Sanchez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sanchez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
