Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carvalho has closed the distance and engaged Thomas in a clinch.
Carvalho manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Thomas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carvalho is looking to escape.

Thomas has control of Carvalho's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Carvalho regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thomas lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

A very excited looking Evan Thomas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Diego Carvalho was interviewed post fight and said 'I will use this loss to grow as a fighter'.
