Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Colt McLaren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Binse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colt McLaren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christopher Binse!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLaren checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Binse has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McLaren is landing a low percentage of strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McLaren.
Binse checks a low kick from McLaren.
McLaren has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Shit-house in the buildup to the fight.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Binse lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McLaren has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McLaren and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Binse throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McLaren on the side of the head.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McLaren lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Binse has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Binse and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Binse shoots in for a takedown but McLaren shows good takedown defense.

McLaren fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Binse, pushing him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McLaren wants to get back to striking at distance but Binse won't allow it.

Binse gets a trip takedown into half guard.
McLaren gets back to full guard.

McLaren throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Binse controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Binse works over McLaren with some ground and pound from guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McLaren is on top in guard.

Binse has his hands on McLaren's head, controlling the position.
Binse looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

McLaren drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Binse dives on top into guard.

McLaren manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Binse manages to get himself to full guard.

McLaren with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

McLaren throws a big right hand that misses.
Binse looking to hit a scissor sweep but McLaren is one step ahead there.
Binse keeping moving, preventing McLaren from controlling successfully.

Binse is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McLaren postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Binse is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McLaren, into his guard.

Binse wants to control from the top but McLaren keeps moving.

Binse with a flurry of punches that miss.

McLaren looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Binse trying to control the position from guard on top but McLaren is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McLaren is on top in guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

McLaren is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Binse is controlling McLaren's posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Christopher Binse will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sloppy strikes from Binse. Those never looked like landing.

Binse has managed to clinch.
McLaren gets underhooks to prevent Binse's takedown attempt.
Binse is pressed up against the cage. McLaren has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Binse down to the mat. Binse avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Binse throws a shot from downtown. McLaren moves away and avoids it.
Binse closes the distance and clinches up with McLaren, looking for a takedown. Binse pushes McLaren against the cage but McLaren circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Binse misses with a double jab.
McLaren takes one on the button.
Christopher Binse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Binse works McLaren's body with a nice hook.
McLaren uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Binse.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McLaren is looking to clinch but Binse is avoiding it.
Binse missing with a left hand there. McLaren was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Binse throws a half hearted mid kick.
Binse throws a leg kick that misses.
Binse lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Binse scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Binse misses with a takedown attempt - McLaren sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Colt McLaren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Binse.
Binse tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McLaren swivels and escapes.

Binse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McLaren manages to avoid it.

McLaren shoots for a double leg takedown but Binse sprawls well. He's pushed McLaren's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Binse takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Binse tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McLaren defends well and Binse ends up having to push McLaren into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

McLaren has a takedown stuffed.

Binse moves in looking to clinch but McLaren pushes him off.
Binse tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McLaren manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Binse lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Binse.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Binse throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McLaren was covering up waiting for the punch and Binse finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Binse wants to control from the top but McLaren keeps moving.
McLaren not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Binse connects with a couple of short punches.
Binse wants to pass the guard but McLaren is keeping the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
McLaren is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Binse tries to roll over but McLaren keeps him under control.

McLaren winds up and cracks Binse with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
McLaren looks to land a strike but Binse avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells McLaren's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
McLaren postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Binse pulls McLaren in close to his closed guard and prevents McLaren from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher Binse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


McLaren is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Binse.
Binse tries to clinch up but McLaren circles away and keeps his distance.
McLaren throws a head kick but Binse moves out of range.
Binse ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

McLaren is trying to drag Binse to the mat but Binse just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Binse tries to throw a body punch but McLaren avoids it by throwing Binse back against the cage.
Binse goes for a takedown attempt but McLaren pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Binse pushes down on McLaren's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Binse has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Binse prevents McLaren from improving his position.
McLaren on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
McLaren wants to improve his position but Binse is controlling well.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Binse lands a nice short elbow.
Colt McLaren has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

McLaren is trying to get back to full guard.
Binse tries to pass to full mount but McLaren defends it.
Binse working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Binse landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McLaren is looking for a sweep. Binse is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
McLaren is trying to control but can't.
Binse drops an elbow to the side of McLaren's head.
McLaren slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

McLaren is trying to control the position but Binse postures up.

McLaren escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Binse gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McLaren is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


McLaren is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McLaren wants to pass to mount but Binse is defending the position.
Christopher Binse is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Christopher Binse comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Binse has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
